The Evidence On Prophet Mohammad’s Illiteracy

Abstract

Many orientalists and enemies of Islam have always abused this religion and its symbols, so their studies initially focused on the Holy Qur’an, trying to question its sources and contents. These studies continued for many centuries, but did not bring any result. The same is the case with the pure Prophetic Sunnah, and all these attempts failed, so they moved to discredit the person of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, his words and his moral qualities.

One of the most prominent topics they dealt with was (the illiteracy of the Prophet), so they tried hard to challenge it and prove that it was read, written and studied by some monks, and this is what they failed in. He could not change the established truth in the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger.
In our research, we dealt with this subject by studying, checking and verifying the legal texts that prove his illiteracy, may God bless him and grant him peace.
