Religious References in the Poetry of Omar Abu Risha (D. 1990)
Abstract
This study examines how Qur'anic influence and Omar Abu Risha's religious and Sufi background enriched his poetry. It explores his use of Qur'anic vocabulary, imagery, and stories, showing how he harmonized these with his poetic themes. Through analyzing selected poems, the study reveals the religious cultural foundations that shaped Abu Risha's reference framework, enhancing his poetic experience. It also defines cultural references and provides an overview of the poet's life to understand these influences.
