Rejecting Hadith for Contradicting the Qur'an Among Arab Modernists: Jamal Al-Banna as a Model
Abstract
The research examines the stance of Arab modernists, particularly Jamal al-Banna, on Hadiths they perceive as conflicting with the Qur'an. It explores the concept of "rejecting Hadith" in Islamic tradition, al-Banna's principles for rejecting certain Hadiths, and compares his methodology with that of classical Hadith scholars, concluding with key findings.
