The effect of deletion and its significance in compositions
Abstract
Scholars of Arabic focused on "deletion," a characteristic that distinguishes Arabic from other languages. Any word or sentence can convey its meaning without the need for explicit clues. Deletion enhances speech, making it more beautiful and refined. This is why Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jarjani (d. 471 AH) said: "It is a path of precision, a subtle approach, and a matter so strange it resembles magic. You will find that you are most eloquent when you remain silent, and most complete in your expression when you don't elaborate."
