The Position Of Ibn al- Elj Of Buffer Pronoun
Abstract
Ibn Al-Elj، a grammarian from the 7th century AH، most likely in Al-Andalus، He's known for his book "Al-Basit fi Al-Nahw" which is a lost book except for some parts found in a number of chapters on grammar and morphology. The first person to quote his opinions was Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusi in his book "Al-Tatheel wa Al-Takmil fi Shareh Kitab Al-Tasheel" and thus Abu Hayyan is considered the main source of information about Ibn Al-Elj due to the abundance of his opinions in "Al-Tatheel wa Al-Takmil." It is worth noting that Ibn Al-Elj is only quoted in Abu Hayyan's other works in "Al-Bahar Al-Muhit fi Al-Tafsir" in three places، one is in the introduction of Ibn Al-Elj، and "Irtishaf Al-Dharb" is a summary of "Al-Tatheel wa Al-Takmil،" and therefore، the opinions mentioned in it are the same as those in "Al-Tatheel".
This research focuses on some of Ibn Al-Elj's opinions، especially his stance from the pronoun of imperative، which may be a useful reference for those who want to familiarize with this scholar of syntax. I relied on evidence from Quran and mostly poetic evidence in this research، as there was only one reference to Hadith in one place. The research concludes with a conclusion that includes the results I have reached.
